Rookie Lifeguard (8-12 years)
LeisureWorld are launching their Lifesaving Courses and introducing a programme called the Rookie Lifeguard, based on a programme from the Royal Lifesaving Society. The aim of the Rookie programme is to prepare the Rookies to take better care of themselves, their family and friends and to give them the information they need to promote water safety in their day to day activities.
The target kid’s age is 8-12 years and there are three stages. Bronze, Silver and Gold, which are each split into three levels (Bronze level 1, Bronze level 2, Bronze level 3)
Upon completing the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels and becoming a Rookie Lifeguard there are many additional courses that LeisureWorld can offer in Cork, such as: Survive & Save, RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification & PHECC First Aid Responder to name a few.
Rookie Lifeguard is open to all children that can swim. Each child will develop skills and knowledge in water safety, rescue, and resuscitation and lifesaving skills.
