Train for good Posture
When viewed from the side the spine should exhibit four curves. These curves like curves of a bone, are important because they increase its strength. The curves also help to maintain balance in the upright position, absorb shocks from walking and help protect the vertebral column from fracture.
When all of your curves are balanced, your ears, shoulders and hips should be in a straight line. In this position your weight should also be evenly distributed through your spine, with each disc having an equal load bearing surface, thus making your back less vulnerable to strain or injury. Check your posture in the mirror from a side view, if, it looks misaligned you will have to train for good posture before you sustain an injury
